You will be warmly welcomed to Cracknell Chiropractic and requested to fill out some paperwork outlining your present concerns, medical history and overall health status.
From here you will meet Deanne or Felicity to discuss the concerns that have brought you to our clinic and what health goals you hope to achieve. Where necessary, the Chiropractor will ask further questions to gain a deeper understanding of your health concerns. A thorough examination will then be carried out to identify any subluxations and procedures will include:
• Postural Assessment • Static and Motion Palpation (how your spine feels and moves) • Orthopaedic testing • Neurological testing • Muscle strength and flexibility assessment • Chiropractic testing
If the Chiropractor deems that x-rays are required you will be referred to our local radiology centre. These x-rays will be assessed for the following:
• Accurate measurement of spinal and pelvic misalignments • To determine if there is any degeneration or arthritic change • The condition and health of the discs • To rule out any pathology (disease) or congenital anomalies
SECOND VISIT: REPORT OF FINDINGS
The Report of Findings will be given on your second visit; after Deanne or Felicity has reviewed the findings from your initial consultation and x-ray analysis. At the report visit, the Chiropractor will explain the overall findings of the physical exam and postural x-rays as well as discussing the root cause of your problem. This full clinical picture allows us to determine the type of adjustments best suited to your spine. The Chiropractor will establish a personalized management plan and recommend a visit frequency that is designed to not only get you out of pain but to prevent recurrence of your condition.
REGULAR ADJUSTMENT VISITS
Your regular adjustment visits are the most important of all! We never assume that your spine will be exactly the same on each visit, so you are assessed thoroughly for subluxations at every visit.
To keep you on track it is vitally important you follow the recommendations given to you on your report visit. Each adjustment builds on the one before, creating a positive momentum for your spinal health.
As your spine stabilizes, your visit frequency will reduce. It is at this time that Deanne or Felicity will conduct a full review and educate you on rehabilitative strength and stretching exercises that will assist in reducing the likelihood of your spinal problems recurring. The Chiropractor may also provide you with ergonomic and postural advice.
Your progress will be reassessed regularly to ensure we are doing everything possible to get your spine feeling and functioning better as quickly as possible.
Questions are important, so please always feel free to ask anything, at any time.
